Clothing Donations

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County has partnered with the BBBSGKC Donation Center, a 501 c 3 not-for-profit corporation.  Our partnership allows for us to accept re-saleable clothing and small household items from the community, which are then sold to our retail partner, Savers.  Donations are tax deductible.  Receipts are available in the black mailbox on the blue donation bins or in the office.

BBBS of Johnson County is paid by weight for the clothing that we are able to send to the Donation Center.  This project has allowed for us to raise nearly $15,000 each year to help support our mentoring programs.

Some items are given to our program families.  Other new items are used in our Benefit Auction.  If you have new or newer children's clothing or bedding items please bring them into the office.  Other items such as baskets, ribbon or new items that can be used in the auction can also be brought in the office.
