Volunteers

Being a Big for a Kauffman Scholar will be a rewarding and fun opportunity for you.  These students are on a great path and are ready to begin the rest of their lives.  They just need someone to talk to about all the difficult decisions they will have to make.  Someone to just be a friend during this crazy time in their life.  All these students will receive a full scholarship to the college of their choice, so they are geared up and ready to go.

Some things you could help them with include:

• Exploring major and career aspirations
• Attending college visits
• Helping study for an upcoming exam
• Preparing them for what to expect at college
• Networking and job shadowing opportunities
• Helping deal with the pressures of friends and school
• Being another, positive, role model in their lives
• And, just hanging out and having fun

The commitment with a Kauffman Scholar is different than our typical program.  We ask that you get together once a month, and then stay in touch with them as they get into college.  The application process is a bit shorter as well.   To get started, simply click here and let us know you are interested.   We will then begin searching our list to find someone that is compatible with you.  After you complete this short form, someone from our office will be in touch with you.
