What your Donations Do

82% of the donations we receive go directly toward the mentoring programs we provide for our children and their families. So, when you make a contribution to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City you will have a direct impact on the lives of disadvantaged youth in our community.

$25 - Allow an adult mentor and child with whom they are matched to attend a fun and enriching BBBS match activity. These events encourage bonding and introduce our Littles to new experiences while improving their interpersonal skills.

$100 - Support the cost of our specialized volunteer outreach and recruitment efforts, such as networking events, advertising campaigns and public presentations, that attract new mentors for children in need.

$250 - Sponsor a Match Activity allowing them to participate in our recreational and educational activites while we recruit, screen and train the right mentor for them. 

$500 - Fund the cost of one comprehensive background screening  for a potential volunteer.

$800 - Sponsor an adult mentor and child with whom they are matched for six months.

$1,200 - Adopt a Match by underwriting the annual cost to establish and maintain the professionally-supervised relationship between an adult mentor and child with whom they are matched.
