Professional Leadership Council

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City Professional Leadership Council (PLC) was founded to support BBBS programs, recruit volunteers and raise money. The PLC is a diverse group of dedicated men and women who volunteer their time, talents and energy to support BBBS of KC's many mentoring and educational programs.

The PLC will accomplish these goals through a five point effort:

• Identify specific ways to directly or indirectly recruit for various programs
• Financially support BBBSKC mission and programs
• Providing access to corporate and community organizations or events, which will be beneficial in the recruitment of new volunteers and corporate donors
• Share names/contacts of key people within known companies/organizations to speak with about BBBSKC
• Outreach and general awareness of BBBSKC

These dedicated volunteers help promote BBBS-KC by actively raising funds and recruiting through various volunteer activities and special events.

As a member of the PLC, not only will you be fundraising for one of the oldest youth organizations in Kansas City, you will have the opportunity to plan and attend great parties, meet new people, network, and most importantly HAVE FUN!

The funds raised through these events enable BBBS-KC to increase the number of young people who are matched with mentoring adults.
